THE BRACELET SCHOOL

Greenleaf Park sits in between Upper Walker Elementary School and a residential neighborhood, connected by a trail corridor which the children use to travel to and from school. However, although it exists as a means for circulation, the wider park is highly underutilized and unkept.

While seeking to strengthen the connection between the children and the local ecology, I imagined a kindergarten that would exist in light touches along the trail. With each classroom in conversation to a different landscape of the park, this project aims to construct a curriculum that presents wondrous possibilities for the children to explore and learn in their local environment as well as offer opportunities for the community to utilize the classrooms after hours for ecological and community centered activities.
